Ana to play for Mumbai

Ana has been drafted to play for Mumbai in the inaugural International Premier Tennis League, which is scheduled to take place across Asia and the Middle East in the off-season.

A unique format, conceived and organized by Indian doubles legend Mahesh Bhupathi, will see teams of ATP, WTA and legendary players facing each other in best-of-five set matches. The matches will feature men’s singles, women’s singles, men’s doubles, mixed doubles and a legend’s doubles rubber.

Each set will be played with no-ad scoring and there will be a tiebreak at 5-5 if necessary.

Ana is joined on the Mumbai roster by men’s world No.1 Rafael Nadal, 13-time Grand Slam champion Pete Sampras, Frenchman Gael Monfils and Indians Rohan Bopanna and Sania Mirza.

They are scheduled compete against Singapore, Dubai and Bangkok during 28 November-13 December.
